Black Magic

Black magic or dark magic is a form of sorcery that draws on malevolent powers. It may be used for dark purposes or malevolent acts that deliberately cause harm in some way. It is alternatively spelt with a 'k' (magick). This term is also known as the dark arts of magic and dark side magic.

In fiction it refers to evil magic. In modern times, people who practice magic use the term to describe power utilised for means of gaining power and wealth or taking revenge.

That old black magic has me in its spell,
That old black magic that you weave so well.
Those icy fingers up and down my spine
That same old witchcraft when your eyes meet mine.
