Computer and Technical Info Page
While I consider myself primarily a Unix and Linux admin, my experience in the IT industry goes far beyond servers into desktops and portables, networks, telephone and data communications, and even business considerations with regards to software, hardware, services and vendors.
The first thing I'm going to start with is power, as in electrical power and protection of electronic and computer equipment from damaging electrical events, whether man-made or natural. So, to start, here's my "Power Page".
Next I go on to home and small-business computers. These are the typical desktop systems most people purchase. What should you buy? Should you buy a Macintosh or a PC? Can I make my old computer faster rather than buying a new one? How do I dispose of my old computer stuff? For answers to those questions and more click here.
(I'll stop here for now and move on to more stuff later. It's a lot of stuff to type and those first two are enough for the moment. 06/16/02)
