Bogart

Bogart is the newest addition to our canine extended family. We call him Doc and Sherlock's nephew since he lives with Pete, their human brother, and Rachel, in New York City. Fifteen pounds of playfulness and energy, he came for a vacation with his uncles on the Farm and proceeded to run everyone ragged. He's a cockapoo, but we're still trying to figure out where he got that long, curled up tail!

Bogie may be a big city dog, but he sure has a lot of hunting instinct. It was a riot watching him leap through the tall grass in the north and south fields, unerringly finding a tennis ball with just his nose. He even flushed a rabbit from one of our planting beds, and spent the next hour nosing through the plants trying to find it.

The Great Hunter

It's really amazing to watch Bogie quarter like a real bird dog, back and forth across the field, until he catches the scent of his tennis ball. It was thrown in the air so he had no scent trail on the ground to follow, and there's no way he can see it in this thick grass, yet he was able to find it every time with just his nose.
