Founded in 1907, the Clinton Progressive Association is a civic, non-partisan, nondenominational and nonprofi t organization. The Clinton Progressive Association owns and operates the Clinton Community Hall. The current hall was built by the association in the 1960s and has been used continuously by the community for weddings, family celebrations, fundraisers, dances, community meetings, bingo and innumerable Island potlucks. In 2007 the hall was certified as a Red Cross warming shelter which serves the community in times of emergencies and natural disasters. |
